This is my entry for Kuro-Creations's contest (round three).
Make a dragon

Yes this is a wingless dragon but I will explain why it has no wings.


Name: isete død  (means icy death in Norwegian)

Where it lives: Icy tundras ie Scandinavia, Upper Russia, Arctic circle, Antarctic

What it eats: Fish, seals, puffins

Coloring: mainly made up of blues and  light purples to match the surrounds. The lighter the colors the better off the dragon will be at getting its prey

Height: A teenaged dragon will reach about 6 foot as a young adult can reach up to 12 feet.
Weight: these dragons are very thick as they need it to stay warm. They can weight up to 4 tons as an adult. Teens and babies rarely get above 2 tons.

Markings explanations: The colors and markings of a isete is very important. Not only do they give a dragon personailty, but they are used to identify who is who in a flock. New mothers often have to use the markings to tell their children apart when they are newborns. Their markings and colors also coincide with their egg shell. Their spine pattern will appear on the sides as the forehead/tail marks and colors are in the center.

Hidden in tuffs of fluff like horns are their ears which are very keen on picking up sounds from the ice and snow.

Their means of protections: These dragons use their claws and barbed tails as a way to protect young,elderly and food from predators. Their main killer is mankind followed by rouge isete who have no flock

Extra info:
They have padded feet for better traction on the icy/snow ground. It also helps their feet from freezing as the pads are made from rough skin and soft scales. The pads are a darker color then the main coat is. 

They have no wings due to natural selection. If they did have wings, they wouldn't be able to use them due the freezing weather and too small of blood vessels to have the wings stay warm.
